Position Description:

Experience:
8-10 years of solid relevant experience, Proven  leadership and management ability in areas of strategic planning and organisational development.

 
 
Duties:
·       Coordinate timely preparation and submission of all Regulatory Reports to relevant authorities.
·       Coordinate timely preparation and submission of all other reports (.i.e. reports to DFI’s, for all senior Loans and Subordinated debts, Tax Reports etc),
·       Coordinate and ensure timely submission of quarterly unaudited financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Bank of Tanzania Act and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
·       Monitor compliance and ensure that the accounting systems, procedures and regulations in place are in line with accounting standards pronounced by the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB)
·       Work closely with CBS/IT, Reconciliation Team to provide adequate assurance in the maintained accounting practices to ensure data necessary for business operations is accurate and reliable.
·       Management Of Fixed Asset Registers, ensuring correct accounting of Tangible and intangible assets of the banks
·       Coordinate the Report Automation Process and take maximum advantage of Core Banking system (CBS) and other procured banking software.
·       Assist CFO to Manages the retention and preparation of tax records, tax returns and other required reports.
·       Manages the preparation, approval and reporting processes for payroll. Oversees the calculation of wages, overtime and deductions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
·       Help the Finance Director; to ensure budgeted cost targets is achieved and drive performance through timely and accurate escalation of issues picked during the reporting process .This includes but not limited to the review and present Analysed bank wide Costs  to CFO for subsequent presentation to the Senior Management and Board where necessary

·       To assist CFO to liaise with  Operations on arranging insurance cover for all assets of the Bank including cash, premises, vehicles, furniture, equipment, computer equipment, etc
·       Advice management of sound financial operations, policies and existence of sound control environment and internal control system
·       Initiate measures aimed at staff capacity building and succession planning
·       Objectively review any proposal for purchase of Fixed Assets to ensure the Value for Money is achieved for all bank purchases.
·       Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Departmental annual plan and advice CFO for any necessary changes for efficiently sustainability of the Department and the Bank



Qualifications

BA in Finance + extensive training, CPA, ACCA
